Day 49--still not good at the posting lately...

I honestly took several pictures but then forgot to post them. My beloved M goes back to work in a few days, and I will have more time to focus on my diet and everything, so expect to see more posts then--after Christmas. The only thing of note lately is that my LS has flared up. I haven't been as strict with the diet the last couple of weeks--so that could be the problem. So, I am going very strict as of today. I only have about another 50 days before my 100 day trial period is over. The only things I have been doing differently are that I have been eating macadamia nuts pretty regularly, and drinking coffee more often--but still keeping them within the limits of my diet (12 nuts, and 1/2 cup coffee) It could be that with the other medium oxaltate foods I eat regualarly (tomatoes and some fruits) that I am overdoing it. Then again--the only other thing that has changed is that I started using the non-vitamin D Calcium Citrate. My flare up started about two weeks after doing that. I went back to the vitamin D supplemented kind yesterday in the hopes that maybe it has something to do with that. I read an article about a doctor who is treating Vulvodynia who believes that it is related to a vitamin D deficiency. There are a lot of different theories, but no pure science. Seems like the lack of studies regarding the disorder would convince the scientific community that they need to start some serious studies. So, for the record, 40 days into my diet I changed my calcium citrate, and within ten days began to have problems with my LS flaring up. My diet itself hasn't changed enough to be considered an issue. I haven't hd more than about 50 grams of oxalate on any given day--even on the days I have been more liberal with my diet--so I have been following the diet accurately, just perhaps higher levels than I was consuming before. The thing I tend to be more lax with is the Paleo aspect-it is the Christmas holiday season, which means eggnog, and pie, and all sorts of yummy and decadent foods which are not Paleo, yet still low-oxalate...Oh, well, I will chekc back in a few days and we will see how things are...
