Day 93

Bacon and eggs. You can't really get much more low oxalate than that, and it is pretty darned Paleo as well. Well, one week from today marks my 100th day. I'm curious to see what will happen when I start to eat some of those high-oxalate foods again. Luckily this will be just in time for Valentine's Day, so I am insured some chocolate certainly. Also in a few weeks i predict the Paleo thing will become more difficult as we start the move home--there will be a week there where I will need to be more flexible what with hotel food, and airplane food and restaurant food. In the US, it is easier for me to follow a "special diet" --over here, it is more of a challenge...If you go to a German restaurant and say you can't eat potatoes, they want to give you pasta...they often don't have rice, and trying to explain (with my really poor German language skills) that I would just like extra vegetables, or a salad instead of potatoes or pasta, or rice--is really hard. They look at me like I am a crazy American. My last couple of weeks here, I want to enjoy Germany and not worry about fitting everything into my diet, so it is just as well my trail period is almost up--When I get home I predict it will be much easier!
