Skipped breakfast, as I am trying to work out on an empty stomach, and ended up having a late lunch of tuna salad made with light tuna, Paleo mayo, and minced red onion. I had cucumber and orange bell pepper as salad with it. Very pretty, no?
Found out something I have apparently been doing wrong--the calcium citrate I have comes with Vitamin D. Vitamin D causes enhanced absorption of calcium (which is probably why my calcium citrate has it included--good for bone health), and this can lead to more oxalates absorbed from food. So, calcium taken for the purpose of binding oxalates should not include added Vitamin D. The problem is that I can't find any Calcium Citrate here that does not include Vitamin D. I did find some online and ordered it, but it won't be here for a few weeks...So,the new calcium I will take before meals...and I will be taking a vitamin d supplement with my regular calcium at a different time. All these vitamins and supplements are getting confusing!
